Hey my friend welcome to the latest edition of my newsletter, thanks for being here! If this blesses you, share it with someone who needs it. They can sign up free at thelowkeychristian.com/newsletter. God bless you, now let's get into it.
This week's theme: Consistency.
Today is practical. No long reflection. Just a framework you can start using tomorrow morning.
BUILD A MORNING THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING
You know the feeling. Your phone is in your hand before your feet hit the floor. By 9am you've answered six messages, scrolled past something that made you feel small, and forgotten you meant to pray. Again.
The day won. Before it even started.
"But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
Seek first. Not seek eventually. Not seek when you get round to it. Not seek after you've checked every notification. First.
The war for your day is won or lost in the first 10 minutes. And right now, most of us are losing.
Here's a simple morning framework you can start tomorrow. It takes 10 minutes. No special equipment. No fancy journal. No 5am alarm.
Step 1: Silence (2 minutes)
Before you reach for your phone, sit on the edge of your bed and breathe. Don't pray yet. Don't read yet. Just be quiet. Say one thing: "God, I'm here." Let the silence settle. This trains your brain to start the day in peace instead of panic.
Step 2: Scripture (3 minutes)
Open your Bible or a Bible app and read one verse. Just one. Don't rush through a chapter. Don't try to do a study. Read one verse slowly. Read it again. Ask yourself: "What is this saying to me today?"
Step 3: Speak (3 minutes)
Pray. Not a long prayer. Not a formal prayer. Just talk to God like He's sitting next to you. Tell Him one thing you're grateful for. Tell Him one thing you're worried about. Ask Him for one thing you need today. That's it. Thank. Worry. Need. Three sentences.
Step 4: Set (2 minutes)
Set one intention for the day. Not a to-do list. One spiritual intention. "Today I will be patient." "Today I will trust God with my finances." "Today I will not compare myself to anyone." Write it on your phone if you need to. Carry it with you.
Silence. Scripture. Speak. Set. 10 minutes. That's your morning rhythm.
It's not flashy. It won't make a good Instagram post. But it will change the trajectory of your entire day. Because when the first thing your soul absorbs is God's presence instead of the world's noise, everything that follows hits different.
A RECOMMENDATION FOR THE WOMEN READING THIS
I want to share something with you today from a friend of mine who has just launched a brand called Kingdom First.
She's created a beautiful 30-day morning eBook devotional called The Morning Rhythm. It's designed specifically for women who want to meet God before the day starts pulling at them. Four weeks of scripture, reflection, and quiet recalibration, anchored on Matthew 6:33.
The four weeks cover: coming back to Him after drifting, navigating the noise of modern life, discovering your identity in Christ, and finding God in the everyday ordinary. It's 44 pages, full colour, beautifully designed, and written like a friend talking, not a sermon being preached.
If that sounds like something for you or a woman in your life, you can grab it here with a discount using my link: The Morning Rhythm — A 30-Day Devotional | Kingdom First

Kingdom First. Life Second. I love what she's building.
YOUR ONE THING FOR TODAY
Set your alarm 10 minutes earlier than usual tomorrow. Just 10. When it goes off, don't touch your phone. Sit up. Breathe. Follow the four steps: Silence. Scripture. Speak. Set. Do it once. See how your day feels. Then do it again the day after.
God, I've been giving my mornings to the wrong things. My phone gets the first 30 minutes and You get whatever's left. Forgive me for that. Tomorrow I want to give You the first 10 minutes before anything else. Help me to protect that time. Help me to believe that those 10 minutes matter more than another 10 minutes of scrolling. I want to seek You first. Not second. Not eventually. First. Amen.
FROM THE ARCHIVE
Today's devotional is all about morning rhythms, so this fits perfectly. I made a video called How to Apply the Armor of God in 3 Daily Habits. It breaks down how to build simple spiritual habits into your daily routine.
OVER TO YOU
What does your morning currently look like in the first 10 minutes? Phone first or God first? Be honest. Hit reply and tell me. No judgement. Just accountability.
God bless you, my friend.
